OUR STORY
BORN OF FAITH. CULTIVATED BY HAND.
A legacy the pours through generations.

The Origin Story
Born and raised in a small tin shack in Tallahassee, Florida, the life of Charity Fredrick Bruton was never defined by what she lacked, but by the boundless abundance of what she gave. She was the steady heartbeat and proud matriarch of a family spanning generations—a woman who cultivated the earth, raised livestock, and grew her own food to sustain both her loved ones and her entire community.
Despite living through an era where written property covenants restricted where Black families could own homes, ACharity built a sanctuary of her own. Deeply rooted in her church family at Centerville, she passed along the vital importance of spiritual guidance, fellowship, and unconditional love. She lived to see a thriving lineage of 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, leaving an indelible imprint of grace and dignity on every life she touched.
Our Mission in Action
Charity Bruton Cellars was founded to bottle that very spirit. We believe that a true legacy is not simply inherited—it must be intentionally cultivated. Every vine we source from and every blend we craft honors the enduring strength of the matriarchs who laid the foundations upon which we stand today.
This is more than a winery; it is a movement of fellowship, purpose, and ancestral pride. We invite you to bring our wine to your family table, to pour it in celebration of your own roots, and to toast to the love, dedication, and protection of family at all costs.
